Not much information but you mean the notification links from our topics?
If so I suspect your email server is hijacking the links - for malware scanning or whatever - and not doing it right.

Sorry, should have expanded. Happens when I click both Topic and Message notifications in received email links.
Oddly, if I click the URL's again, they usually work around the third attempt.
What is the URL in the email?
Make sure you give us the link you're actually being sent to.
i.e. in the link above, if you told is the link is "google.com" that's wrong, the actual link if you look at what's linked is geekzone.co.nz
>What is the URL in the email?<
Below is an extract from the email I got … first two clicks gave me the Cannot connect message, third time took me to your Forum message.

Is this a work network? Do you have adblockers installed? Any anti-malware that scans URLs? Any proxy? Are you using a VPN?
It can be many things - but I am certain the server is correctly configured.

Home, no adblockers, no anti-malware scanning, no proxy, not VPN ![]()
Just to make things weird, I arrived at your forum message with one click this time.
Took two clicks to view hio77 forum message.
Never happened before, and only today (so far).
I'd be giving your router a reboot, sounds like its DNS server is flaky.
