Hey guys. For the last couple of days visiting https://live.geekzone.co.nz/ redirects to https://www.geekzone.co.nz on an iPhone XS Max running iOS 13.4.

I have tired closing safari, clearing cache and restarting the phone. Any advice as to how I can get the live page back on the phone?

On an 2018 13” iPad Pro  running iPadOS 13.4 it works as expected.

I am pretty sure it never worked - because I am just looking at the code and tested it again. However, seeing there's no reason for modern browsers to not use the page anymore I have removed the restriction.

Live.geekzone.co.nz is the only way I've been accessing geekzone for the last 10 years - worked on chrome on all my mobiles the whole time :)

And you sure didn't have the browser set to request desktop versions?

Yup, on safari you can only reload the current page as a desktop version. No option to request it as a default for all pages. Since after updating to 13.4 it redirects to https://www.geekzone.co.nz/ I tried to request the desktop site and it just reloads the Geekzone page. If I then went to the live page after requesting the desktop version it would redirect again.

Edit:

Just had a look under the settings app and not in safari itself and there is an option to request the desktop site for all webpages. Ive never turned that on before tho.

While this has come on with iOS 13.4, it may be the new Safari version that is the actual issue. From memory both desktop and iOS versions have changed some cookie handling that may be breaking things.
