OK today I am using Vodafone 3G in Wellington central. Here are my speedtest results from speedtest.net.

Surfing the web and even using geekzone is pathetic to say the least. Even the Vodafone website is loading at snail pace. I have 4 out of 5 bars of signal strength so I don't think it can be poor reception?

Whats up with this? Anybody else experiencing bad response times? Or am I just the only guy silly enough to have signed up for this service? Now where did I put my 56.6K dialup modem?

Possibly. From what i've seen so far, people are clocking speeds up to 3mbps. which is pretty decent

What about speed tests to Auckland?
Have you done a tracert? Obviously your connection is not going from your modem - VF Wellington - CityLink. Looks like its going via Auckland first, how do those speedtests look?
I realise it will not help your slow speeds, but unfortunately speedtest results are not accurate most of the time.
I know Mauricio has pointed out that VF's had problems in the CBD in the past, maybe they still do.

I got sick of waiting for Vodafone's 3G to be faster than 2G speeds and moved to XT. People you have two options stay and wait and pray or move and get faster speeds...

I moved to XT and it's so so so much better than Vodafone. Now I just gotta change from XNET to Orcon!
