Glad it worked. I just remembered when I had movies on it. I’ll just keep it in case they offer a deal that’s better then Sky, like when I had movies.

Had potential, but wished hadn’t brought myself, Mysky is a much better product, though $15 more per month for most :(

Good concept but poorly implemented. I always felt I was Beta testing.

MikeB4:

Thanks for the tip @rugrat that worked. The VTV is headed to storage in the garage.

I did that with mine nearly a year ago. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I recently got the VF TV - replacing the Mysky via Vodafone, overall I like it - not being able to record programs I want is a pain but in most cases can view using Three on Demand.

However I am having issues with constant dropping of Wifi Connection - was ok a t first, then occasional now 3-5 times in a 45 min program. On Neon it totally losses connection have to close app - says No Internet Connection (Black Screen) On Sky it freezes usually restarts the stream but sometimes have to change channel a few times.

I can watch Neon on Apple TV (On same Wifi network) with no issues so it seems to be a problem with the VF TV box.

I have VF Fibre Max internet using Ultra Hub and connecting to the 5GHZ network. TV is about 9 metres from Ultra Hub with line of sight

I have rebooted router and VF TV but problem recurs after a short period

Try leaving it playing on Youtube and see if  it drops the connection at all..I expect what you are seeing is the error that happens when vodafones streaming server gets upset rather than losing the actual wifi connectiion..

I just turned on Vodafone TV out of Curiosity and see the rights issue has got worse.

‘Everything on TVNZ use to be available on the three day catch up, and see most movies on TV2 tonight are not available for catch up, and Dark Tower playing now cannot be started from beginning TV2.

TVNZ on demand etc  is no substitute for the three day catch up or recording when like to use a surround sound system to watch, as it’s not 5.1.

On the technical side everything is working fine with box, not getting wifi drops here.

Guess I’ll be best to unplug it, as can watch live TV straight through the TV from aerial.

Try logging into your Ultra Hub and choosing a fixed 5ghz channel rather than letting it choose automatically, (Channel 153 is working for me currently), if it doesn't work, try a different channel.

You can also reset your Vodafone TV box using the remote to go to menu>settings

Any word/rumours if Sky will provide their Summer Freebie (Starter/Entertainment/Soho) for a period of time again?

Just tried to use Three Now app and it's saying due to some changes with it I need to reset the VTV box (gen 1). When I go to the reset option it's about resetting back to factory settings which I'm reluctant to do in case it messes it up. Anyone else had this?

I suspect what they mean is to reboot the box by powering it down and then applying power again.

It gives instructions to go to settings and reset but I'll try turning it off and on at the plug and see if that sorts it.

Appears to have been a small outage just now, "Channel Not Subscribed", no channels working. It came back a few minutes later with "Vodafone TV is connected"
