loganjames:But since your here johnr any word on data caps?

Have you read any of this thread?

I think he means everyone on here wants to know sooner than originally planned. There seems to be quite a lot of demand to know the plans sooner than "by June 30th"! *Hint*

Cat will be out of the bag before the 30th and I don't mean the 29th either

Do the data increases usually happen immediately, or from the customers next billing cycle?

vodafone does well at making it pretty immediate, keeps everyone happy that way :)

Today a Telecom sales man came door to door, for just $95 he offered 120gb broadband plan + Land line with call minder, caller ID, call waiting and 6 months free Sky sports. The only reason I did not take the deal yet is because I'm waiting for Vodafone's new plans.

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

i wonder if that was who was knocking on my door this morning???
(i don't answer the door when strangers come knocking)
i would rather stick with vodafone also but I will ultimately go with the best deal/kind on my wallet!.
(UNLESS they have an appalling record of internet/customer service)

The sales guy gave me till the end of the month to consider the offer, so if Vodafone don't beat the offer Telecom are making, I will be switching for sure.

Trying to decide whether or not to double my data month ends on the 20th and I have 10gb left. Hence my question if data increases are immediate or not

I'M IN THE SAME BOAT AS YOU 13.5GB LEFT & if no-one has announced anything by the time i run out  i'll have to double as the slower speeds are ridiculous. (cant watch anything)!. lets hope they announce sooner rather than later!.

Agreed, I have only started my cycle, and have used over half my 60gb cap already. I don't want to buy the double data if I don't have to

Back in March I persuaded a couple of people at work to stick with vodafone (instead of Orcon or Telecom) based on the imminent increasing of data caps after reading the thread in GZ.. they're starting to get impatient too.

I'm also keeping a close eye on comments, most of the slighshot threads I've seen have been positive. With only a hand full of people unhappy with speeds
