Have had the T-Box for just over 1 week. Install ran smoothly. However we are experiencing random freezing of picture and then jumping of live TV. Sound all ok. Still learning the recording of programs but is quite easy.
If the freezing doesn't fix itself, I'll be sending the unit back.

Hi chc4dai: The freezing and picture stuttering appears to be affecting a few people on here and I'm sure TCL will be working on a fix. Hopefully TCL will let us all know whats going on soon ...hint hint.

Hi Bigbadaboom: I have had 6 plus crashes over last 2 weeks - powering off only way to fix that I have found. Hopefully someone has had feedback from TCL about this.

I hope so - Missed a try during the 7s because of it yesterday - And wife said you better get that  sorted - Sky isn't doing that.

She checked with the neighbours.  Come on TC especially since the chanel swith can be a bit slow to fix it.

Cheers

Would be nice to have a "change-log" somewhere so people can see what issues they should expect to get resolved whenever they get these updates...

Ours updated this morning after having to be restarted due to lockup (first one we have had after a week of use).

From Settings -> General -> System Details - IPG Version 2.9.8 and OS Version 100921.

Sure hope they fix it faster than it took to bring t-box to market ;) How do I check if the box has been updated? Under system details IPG version 2.9.8 is that it? Thx

Anyone had a bill since upgrading to T-Box? I did and I got stung for the upgrade ($100), will get them to sort it out. I'd say check your bills but then you're unlikely to miss it!

ChristineNZL: So it's 9 pm Saturday evening and my online TV guide still only shows programmes up to Sunday.  When does it update?  The brochure says the guide shows the programmes for the next 7 days.  We only got it installed on Monday so this is our first week.  Thanks.

Check your modem is online/working and do a restart of your T-Box.

Thanks.  I will give that a go.  As we are still in our first week I wasn't sure what was "normal".

We got this too today, no data for any of the channels (yes we got it installed monday last week) A restart fixed it but I'm loathed to restart the machine every time we need new listings.

Ok, this is still busted. I've only got listings till this coming monday after I restarted it last monday. The EPG updates aren't coming through until you reset the box and the modem.

Also, if you went the $499 upfront route and your box was installed before 1 Oct, they should not be charging the higher GST on that $499.  This happened to my mother and she got a refund.  She also got charged the install fee erroneously.

I haven't received my bill yet, but I'll definitely be watching out for errors.
