Any mentions of EDGE?
And what happens when the 100MB limit is exceeded?

Vodafone don't have EDGE here in New Zealand.

Once you exceed the 100MB you'll get another block.

Very good pricing IMHO. For anyone using Microsoft's ActiveSync for Pushmail... 100MB a month should just about cover it... cheap and cheerful for $10, brilliant experience on Blackberry for whatever it is these days...

Pressure is on Telecom now.... pity the poor mobile wholesale plays though...

If you're On Account and regularly want more data we'd recommend moving up to one of the larger plans but for those that do go over the 100MB you're on the out of bundle rate of 10c/MB, which oddly enough equates to 100MB for $10.

Cheers

That's great news.

It's actually better than having the purchase another 100mb becuase if you don't use it all, you won't pay for the entire 100mb.

Sorry about this but the dates are the wrong way round.

Should be:
6 April - On Account launches.
15 April - Prepay launches.

Apologies for that.

So just to confirm, this means the 100MB plan will not be included in the data 'rollover insurance' thingee where you get charged $10 for a second data block of the same size? (although the pricing makes it irrelevant, but the charging model means it's better if it's not included... 150MB is $15, not $20).

That's right, bundle insurance doesn't apply to this offer... Bundle insurance is for those plasn that are about mobile broadband for laptops/netbooks and the like rather than for mobile internet access off a mobile phone (eg iPhone plans or this $10/100MB offer).

It's really aimed at cellphone users who want to do more online from their phones. You can stick it in a Vodem or similar but that's not really ideal - you'll churn through 100MB quickly on a laptop whereas on a phone it's good for quite a bit.

It really does set a new benchmark..

10c / MB useruse compares very favourably to casual WiFi usage and for the average person who probably uses 30MB or so per hour for general web surfing means if you're wanting to use your laptop while mobile for casual usage (such as a weekend away or a holiday) then you're getting a good price without having to commit to a higher priced monthly plan.

I know I've knocked Vodafone in the past for many things but this really is one of the best things they have done in a long time - it's just a shame it's taken so long to appear.
