IvanPiacun: I think the question is more of one of being able to hide those Sky channels that aren't part of the user's subscription(s). So he has a Sky subscription but has not subscribed to all Sky channels so wants to hide those not subscribed to. This could possibly be done in a subscription management web page on a PC/Mobile/iPad/Mac etc browser.

The T-Box had a favourites filter, was good.

That is the way this feature works: Say you are subscribed to SKY Movies, but not SKY Sport. Setting the SKY Channel setting to Hide, will hide SKY Sport, but SKY Movies will remain visible.

I purchased one of these over the weekend. The setup was a piece of cake and took about five minutes. Everything is going fine. I do have one question, is there anyway to adjust or customise the home screen?

Not currently.  We are looking at a recommendations engine that will tailor the home screen based on your viewing history. But your proposal is interesting.   Instead of an automatic algorithmic adjustment of the home screen, you'd like the ability to tune the home screen yourself?

After a play around with this I would put a tick in the box so that we are able to setup the home page for what we want to see and to be able to move stuff we won't use down the page.

I suggest that this Vodafone TV Gen2 Set Top Box needs the ability to show all On Demand programs in the categories of mySky On Demand, plus ability to record all Sky channels subscribed to in order to be comparable to MySky. Are there plans to provide this?

I just moved into a new house and alas I don't have structured cabling anymore .. (and I really won't be crawling around under the house for a LONG time)

I was about to call VF and cancel/pay out, but this new GEN2 device has Wifi, and seems faster and better. Do I need to buy it again?

I was pretty disappointed when I tried to record the cricket live, came back a day later to find it has replaced it with highlights :)

Thank you

Also for a Gen3 list a SPDIF out port would be wonderful as TV analog audio output slightly desyncs lipsync for me.

Unfortunately, we are unlikely to support SPDIF going forward, as HDMI is arguably the trend for audio connectivity going forward. (We actually have SPDIF port on Gen1 box, but it is  not available on Gen2 box.)

When it comes to lip-sync, normally the receiving audio device (TV, soundbar, etc) have an audio delay setting (in ms) to ensure that there are no audio out-of-sync over HDMI. Have you tried that on your TV?

RE: Audio sync Feedback

I have noticed lipsync issues specificaly on Parliament tv.

Something others in the thread might make note of?

@sansom Does it support the new Freeview on demand app or do you need to use the individual on demand apps?

At present it appears to only support the individual On Demand apps.

You may be able to fix this by going into Audio Settings on the television and altering delay time if it is a generalised problem, or is it a problem with 3 day playback, or watching live television, or after using pause and fast forward, on just that channel?

I am regularly having problems with fast forward going back 40 minutes after pausing for 12 minutes on TV One and then pushing play and then pushing fast forward. Is there any way of avoiding this as it will then not fast forward past the 40 minutes behind time.

Many thanks for notifying us of this issue! We have been able to replicate this issue now and have logged it as a defect to be fixed.

Parliament isnt sitting again until the 15th October @ 2pm.  I will make a point of checking this at that time.

Cheers.
