If the speed meets or exceeds the regulated speeds / requirements set out by the comcom is it actually a fault?

Are you trying to say that I should not have logged this as a fault?
If Vodafone advertise fast and reliable broadband, is that actually false advertising?

Ask that to the customers connected to congested Conklins cabinets and remember internet speed is regulated in NZ by the comcom

It's okay, the Conklin's are only a temporary measure, remember?

Temporary are you kidding?

It would seem like this issue everyones had resolved hasn't been resolved with Spark. Even after calling them multiple times about the issue. But it's getting worse. All Calm till around 6pm up until 11pm. Unless Chorus are still working on the issue, it doesn't look like Spark has change it's route to improve congestion issue. I'm also in Palmerston North.

I use WTFAST to get the best Ping I can but it doesn't really help looking at the graph. The Yellow drops in the graph at the end is what the Ping should be which that drop happened around 11:15pm. Then randomly went back up again when Peak time is supposed to be over.

This issue has occurred ever since it was brought up the first time on these Forums.

This also depends on what cabinet you're connected to - it could be unrelated (for example if you're on an ASAM) - if you have a sync on ADSL2+ or are in a VDSL area then your issue is more than likely the Chorus handovers like what has been explained by Barry otherwise your issue is just standard cabinet congestion and this won't be resolved without a cabinet upgrade by Chorus.

My connection is "fixed" but around 10am on Tuesday this week, something changed.

Latency to all of my test targets jumped up, and has stayed that way.
I know it is only a 13 ms jump but that is a 62% increase in latency.
I am hoping it is just a temporary measure or change in routing while work is ongoing in the background to permanently resolve the issues.

Would anyone from Vodafone care to comment on this latest change?

Cheers,
Nigel

Possibility you were moved to a different POP? or Interleaving settings were changed?

Good ideas - I've always had interleaving off so I'll check when I get home to see if this has changed without my knowledge.

Regarding the POP change - I still take the same route, but to ppnzwtc01 is where the latency has jumped up 12-13 ms.

Are traceroute a very good indication of where your POP is, or is it all transparent?

Interleaving is still off, so it's not that.
