Linux: that part of the help section on the VodafoneNZ site should mention postpaid subscribers only and Prepay can not use this network feature
MichaelNZ: ... I doubt they even care if it's disconnected or not. As long as they keep the money rolling in

@IcI
I asked Vodafone to check it and they were able to tell me the history of that number . not sure if all mobile providers can do it I assume they can.
They can even see the history of number ports they can see how many times a number has been ported and to what provider.

That is a clear breach of the privacy act if they did

Please explain to me what portin the number to a Warehouse Mobile number will achieve? It is my understanding that your Warehouse Mobile SIM card will now have your Vodafone 021 number and the 028 number will disappear into the bit bucket (to be recycled?)
As a humanbeing, I don't care what SIM card you are using, as long as I can get through to the original 021 number. Aren't you spending $x for a new SIM and then simply transferring the problem to the new SIM?

Account notes: when customer calls in they note the account. do they stay forever?
@IcI
I have a 021 Vodafone SIM and am porting a 028 "Warehouse Mobile" number to it.
Reasons:
1. Change the number to stop texts and calls related to the previous user.
2. Hopefully, "028", being a newer number range, is less likely to be recycled.

The 028 prefix is quite old.
