Will the FTTH price be aligned to the the UFB once UFB plans come out?

The new Fibre plans are pretty good, thanks Xnet. But comparing with other ISPs
UFB plans seems there are still some gaps?

eg:
Orcon: $75 for 30GB of data, 30mb/10mb speed

I believe the plans will be aligned, however it's to early to confirm that they will be at this point in time.

I'm currently on a very old download restricted plan. I'll initially move to a new plan and see if that makes a difference - the cabling in my area is so bad so I have not bothered with it until now. With the included data the cost difference is small.

Snap's unmetered sites are an attraction. Slightly more included data from xnet would have fixed that for me. The difference is not enough to make me move instantly, so far it's a win for xnet, but Snap is on my mind.

and you then pay for 30gb as you get 5gb free.. so total cost $100

You save $15/mth

The Fusion $99 plan is a bit of an odd one, as you can do much the same with:
$70 Fusion
$10 +10GB
$20 Super Cap A

Advantage this way is your bundle of minutes can be used for overseas calling too! Obviously not unlimited calling, but for the average user 1000 calling minutes is plenty.

Good to see the mobile call rate has dropped, maybe time to include a few more mobile minutes in super cap mobile?

I've signed up for the $70 + $0.99/GB fibre plan. Cheaper than the $99 + $1.28/GB plan I've been on, as I use about 35 GB monthly.

Still hoping Chorus will let me onto their UFB network later this year, but there's no guaranteed timeframe so I'll take Xnet's cheaper offering for now.

Bit of a gamble with the $199 early disconnection fee before 12 months is up, but I don't think I'd lose much if it comes to it.

Here's the updated comparison of the latest high usage options from the main ISPs:

I am happy with XNet's service so far, and I took on the $70 fibre plan as well.

Based on how long it took Xnet to roll out these new plans, and how uncompetitive they are, I won't be holding my breath :P

I'm currently on fusion. I am guessing I can keep my VOIP with xnet and go get data from snap with their naked plan. Has anyone else done this and how do I go about it? Tell xnet first, or snap?

Ok, never mind I just rang snap and I'm sorted. Moving to them for data at the end of the month, keeping VOIP with xnet. Yay, reduced bills!!

Yesterday I changed from my old legacy 'River' plan to HSI 5 'clothed' as it required no term. No cost advantage to myselft except I now get FS/FS rather than FS/128. WxC effected the changed prompty and i now get 9/1 rather than 4/128kbps

However I use 15GB per month on average for the last year. Why doesn't Xnet have a more cost effective data add on like SNAP - with SNAP I can spend $10 and get another 20GB whereas with Xnet that will cost me another $19.80 as it stands I use POTS and by staying with Xnet with current usage will cost me another $6 per month even more as my data usage increases. I 'patiently' waited since Dec gone and now find my patience has cost me !

Totally agree, If they got data more cost effective I would stay but after being with them for 5 years I just can't justify staying with them.

I need 30 - 40gb a month with either VOIP or POTs

So I'm either going to go Telstra $75.00 40GB POTs Phone

Or Snap Nakied $60 30GB + $11.50 for a VFX line

If I used Xnet it would cost me between - $94.75 to $109.60

If that all works out well I'll move the other 6 Xnet accounts I manage over as well.
