Hi guys....

I believe there's a problem with the way the "newly edited" dial plans are setup, for the "Gateway 1" part...  Here are the screenshots first....

Using VFX:  http://home.graffiti.net/stephycy4:graffiti.net/N-temp2543.JPG  No problem calling out....  "All's normal".  Of particular, please note "Call 2 peer phone"....

Trying to use gateway 1, connecting to www.owtalk.com  :  http://home.graffiti.net/stephycy4:graffiti.net/N-temp2544.JPG

Using gateway 1, connecting to gizmoproject:  http://home.graffiti.net/stephycy4:graffiti.net/N-temp2545.JPG

"Symptoms" when trying to use gateway 1:
Step 1:  Pick up phone, press "1#"
Step 2:  Busy tone on www.owtalk.com  ; on gizmoproject:   "sorry, your call cannot be connected as dialled.  please check your number and try again", by a an american accent..  :P
Step 3:  Take screenshots...  :)

Hmm, it seems that the "dial plan" is configured, in a way that doesn't provide for a "dial tone" first?  I'm guessing, what's happening is that it tries to dial "nothing"....  So of course no call can go out.....

Thanks for the help, maverick, and Xnet team!  I'm pulling my hair out now!

On the VOIP Gateways the only time you get Dial Tone is when the Line is registered, when you do a 0# you get dial tone on the PSTN line as it supplies dial tone directly.

This does not happen on the other VOIP Gateways as you are not actually registered to them you are registered on the VFX line so hence the Dial tone if you are not reistered then once again no dial tone, so doing a 1# will send the call after a timeout period, We need to make one more change to the dial plan to allow for interdigit timeouts, when we do this if you dial 1# then the number it will send the Call after 3 seconds or press # at end of number and the acll will release straight away, Changes should be made by 10.00am today

Btw just tested this with a Gizmoproject account and worked fine, some of the messaging is not quite correct by the looks of it, they do not appear to pass ringing either a 180 or 183 so if you see a no ringing problem here the issue is theirs Wink

I will settle in with WXC for my International & National (Auckland Excluded) voice calls, GREAT we can use our Gateway 0, and Gateway 1, I have some pre paid credits with other VOIP providers which I can make use of them without going back to the old fashioned way.

My last 2 International calls to AUS, the other party mentioned the volume is little low, my side was okay. Has any one complained about this? Is this something I can do on my SPA? I remember spotting a gain setting, not sure what this will do though.
Cheers

Under the Regional Tab, you will see input and output Gain, also your Phones should have a Voulme control as well, try adjusting those as well

If you power the unit off, do you get dial tone ?,

nothing should have changed on gw0 0# should put you on the PSTN, there was a change for gw1  only to allow  dialling via other gateways using 1#

I will confirm on my test units tomorrow

Found it my apolagies on this the gateway changes we made to allow the secondary VOIP providers had also been added to the PSTN gateway by mistake, I have fixed your one now a restart will pick up the changes, the others will be done this morning. Again my apolagies and hopefully this time all should be good.

Shash, can you verify, for yourself, can you still use your "Gateway 1", after your device has been provisioned with VFX (and hence locking out the settings for Line 1).....

I'm still going nowhere at all!  It's giving me a headache, and I still can't figure out WHY I can't get any calls through at all, through my gateway 1!

What I've tried:

1.  Gizmoproject:  No "sorry, your call cannot be connected" now...  Pressing 1# and then the number I wish to call, just gives me a "not connected tone"...  "beep..beep..beep..beep..beep..........."

2.  Owtalk.com:  Same "not connected tone", but very quick after pressing 1#....  Maybe this provider does not accept "non registered connections" then, so I moved on and tried something else...

3.  Voxalot.com:  Now, this DOES cater for the SPA3102, the gateways, etc.  Seems "famous" for them too, as quite a few online "guides" and forums about the SPA3102 and gateways is about voxalot...  http://www.voxalot.com/action/static?task=display&itemOID=36

4.  2talk.co.nz:  Trying the local VOIP here...  Nope...  Very quickly, I get a "not connected" tone.....

5.  Playing around with my firewalls, different routers...  Same result....

Maverick, Xnet, I hate to be a bother...  But issit a sure thing that the dial plans are "A-OK"?  If at all possible, it'll be GREAT if for the VOIP gateway, the dial plan can include a "comma" (,) so that a dial tone can be "get" before dialing the rest of the numbers......

On a side note, it seems that my "xport" (My VFX) is locked....  :P

Thanks!!!!
