I had a response from VF for my issue of sporadic sloowness for certain US sites. They said fixed. This morning it seemed fine till about 9am then verry slow again and gave up and switched back to iphone connection.
Then that got real bad - ha - hadn't spotted my phone had died.
Switched back to VF - baaaad
Put phone on charge, switched back to using that - goooood

Don't think the issue has been resolved at all.

off-topic but yes, though me thinks the advert should have the guy standing on the edge of an abyss not middle of paddock

We had this all yesterday at work in Ellerslie in Auckland on a BIA fibre connection. After submitting a support ticket, got a phone call yesterday afternoon to say that a core switch/router that was in a load balanced configuration had not been actually balancing the load so one of the routers was getting hit too hard and then dropping traffic. This is my understanding of what I was told BTW. We have been  fine all day today and had no flakeyness or dropped traffic and sites that won't load.
*EDIT* It only aplied to certain subnets and we were in one of those subnets.

This topic started at intermittent INTERNATIONAL connection issues.
It is very unclear to me if some of the other reporting going on here is specifically about international connections or just general connections issues - might help VF if we can keep this discussion purely on the international focus

Our issue has been resolved, not sure what was done though.
