Nice work VF. I think I will just wait for the new plans to be announced, take the risk that they may better suit my needs.

And thanks to John for giving us the heads up on this.

Very pleased at Vodafone listening to their customers on this, hoping the new plan changes will be to my advantage as I'm looking to replace my Magic with something nice like the Galaxy s2 around Christmas time (hint hint, Vodafone christmas subsidised smartphone sale would be magnificent :D ).

You would be onto a winner with the Samsung Galaxy S II - I have one - absolutely brilliant device!

Maybe this thread name needs to be updated? People may think we are all celebrating at the fact that Vodafone is ending this 3G data promo :D

Shame you all miss out on what Vodafone were rumored to be replacing the deal with. I guess that's what happens when everybody jumps up and down and makes a company back down.

Sometimes you just don't realise how much luckier you could have been.

No, I would have been stuck on my existing Smart2 plan with 250Mb data for another 21 months because that's what they recommended and sold me when I asked for a plan with at least 1GB data.  At no stage have Vodafone even hinted that they'd let anyone change plans without early termination fees.

I think this has been their mistake, they should've come out saying that at the end of the 6 months, they would allow resigns onto relevant plans without an early break fee.

Exciting new offers ahead or not I am stoked with this recent announcement, as they say, a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush, I'll take my secure data cap and go back and sit quietly in my corner, thanks again VF!!

Vodafone made a recent change to the TXT bundles on the Smart plans. Did customers like that change?

Speaking only for myself, I thought it was a nice gesture, but not one I have any use for myself. Nor am I concerned about PXTs. I make voice calls, use data, and the occasional SMS. On my previous plan I didn't even have the TXT option- I just paid as I went.

Lol, that was a nice addition but soon became a "would rather have more data" discussion iirc?

I'm happy, i love my SGS2, and now i am secure in the knowledge that as long as i am loyal to VF i can count on having more than enough data than i can comfortably use in a month

Ham: Johnr.

Are some Smart customers on temporary double minutes (3 months) and others on "for the life of plan"? I remember there was a promotion a while back...? has the 3 months been extended to lifetime? or was it just for new customers?

Just asking because currently I have double minutes and I'm not sure if or when they are going to expire....?

I too am worried about this... Infact I will start another topic...

John, you may have missed my question on the previous page...  Would you know the answer to this?
