Maybe if you stream a radio station it will be handy.

my radio listening is already unmetered.  It's called listening to the radio.

I hoping this isnt all TCL are planning and that there are still new inhome plans to come. I mean really, how much data does accessing trademe use?

Ya well my spies tell me it's coming... but they need to get is NOW!

I have people wanting new connections in cable areas here in Christchurch and I simply can't argue with the 10GB that Telecom is giving them under the 'double your data' for $39.

Not that I'm keen to recommend Telecom either.  I'm more likely to suggest Snap because of the YouTube and Google thing, because being Christian they're very keen on some of the content in that can be pushed in to that space.

After seeing Slingshots new higher cap plans I must admit I'm considering changing our flat over if Telstra doesn't provide some major data increases in the short term future.

From my Tweet to TelstraClear:
Me: also I heard mention of some new plans for cable customers coming soon - any update on that?
Reply: no firm news on those plans and no to iSky atm, sorry ^TN

:(

(I also asked about whether there's any plans to allow iSky for TelstraClear TV subscribers but apparently not either - double :( )

My Twitter convo earlier today:

Q: any word on when the residential cable internet plans are being refreshed? "Soon" & "we're working on it" wearing a bit thin

A: no news sorry, I do know the teams are working on it, but it's a complex thing to complete. Will post as soon as I hear ^TN

There was some chatter last week about plans being in test currently.  Given the screw up with emails being sent out by mistake because of plan changes, they might be doing a bit more extensive testing on this one.

I wonder what the last stuff up cost in terms of helpdesk calls?

Is it just me that finds it weird they have to test plan changes? :)

I doubt it.

But testing with any system change is always important.  With 70k customers in the system, I'm sure there's quite a bit of testing that needs to be considered.

Given the crap they've been having with their usage systems I'm sure they're starting to put even more effort in to getting it a bit more right than they have been.

Telsraclear's track record of delivering things on time is worse than Valve Time or Blizzard's Soon

http://www.wowwiki.com/Soon

If I was you guys I wouldn't be holding my breath, switch to Telecom or Snap.
