Hello.

I have a ISKRATEL Innbox V50 U modem and having difficulty getting XNET's open VFX set up to make any connection with the phone (hardware not a moblie or software phone).

I have placed the info as required using pan.wxnz.net as the:
SIP domain name
SIP proxy
SIP outbound proxy
SIP registrar

Have used my ph no. (without the 0) as the display name

And entered the authentication name and password that was supplied to me from Xnet.

If anyone is familar with this modem or can see an issue with the settings I'd be delighted with the help.

Not familiar with this particular unit, but try putting pan.wxnz.net into the proxy only,

The User name will be your phone number without the 0, this shouldnt be confused with the display name which should usually be 0x xxx xxxx number so should usually have 2 separate fields, the biggest problem with vendors is they keep using differnt field names

The auth name and password are the 2 rather long strings

But try the proxy only suggestion and see how that goes

Thanks for the reply Maverick!

So I took out the info from all proxys except SIP proxy but no success.

Tomorrow I'll talk to the company that supplies the modem and see if they are any wiser.

To setup SIP or VOIP in the Innbox V50u use the following setup, also a link back to the supplier here in NZ with a demo setup guide, give them a call if the setup dosent work for you.

drop SIP Registrar from your configuration. I have set this up many times and it works flawlessly 

just configure 

SIP Domain Name
SIP Proxy
SIP Outbound Proxy

I have had a look at the manual for this device, and I can not see a field for "User ID" as per the following menu

It only has Authentication name and Auth Password but no User ID field, so my suspicion is that the device is incompatible with the VFX service.

Awaiting for Maverick to confirm this one.

Hi grudge, we actually looked at this box a while ago, we did have it up on the network as Josh had it running and I'm sure it did have a user and authid , wasn't the greatest box if I remember correctly so hence the reasons we havnt gone with it, I want the best :)

Will get Josh to post tomorrow , we do need separate auth and userid so as to provide greater security.

rossmbennett rang in yesterday and we helped him out, the device registered fine back to WxC SIP Realm, he could do Outbound but no Incoming , so We have advised him to come back to you guys (WxC)and see if the numbers are valid at first, because outbound calling signifies that the Device has registered back to WxC, So will wait for his response, you guys should be able to tell where the SIP DDI is bound too.

Maverick, Josh did run a test on the Innbox but this was a few months ago, and he was using BETA firmware not NZ Build, and we are happy with Josh's feedback towards the device :-) .

A device allowing outbound calling doesn't always mean a SIP registration is successful (not just in relation to this particular fault, but in general).

Inbound and outbound are quite different. Providing you're sending the correct AUTH details for an outbound call it could work, while inbound could fail if the SIP device isn't correctly registered.

I don't see any registrations coming in for your number, can you please ensure that the use SIP Registrar is enabled and set to:

pan.wxnz.net
5060
