I had thought that my T-Box woes had gone away, but no this long weekend we had three recording failures that I haven't seen before. All the failures were on TV1 and the message associated with each failure was "Recording interrupted due to the channel no longer being available". These failures happened on Friday, Sunday and Monday. We have been away so can't comment on whether or not the TV1 channel had failed or not but I suspect not.

Oh, I like the red!

New update this morning, new colour scheme is apparently the only change.

Seems to me the i information banner goes away more quickly now, but I could be wrong there.

I don't think it is a good change at all.

All the red is very hard to look at and strains my eyes when looking at the guide and planner. I realise this is vf's corporate band colours but I just wish they had made it a bit easier on the eye. The combination of that and the new icons and other colours makes it look like an old school Atari game from the 80's. Thumbs down.

This morning my T-Box did it's update....

Now I know Vodafone are getting rid of all traces of Telstraclear, but going as far as the colours used by the T-Box?

The nice soft blues and purples of TC, have now been replaced by harsh in-your-face Vodafone Red, dark grey's and black.

Just awful.

Did you power-cycle? A software update is only triggered after a power-cycle or overnight (if new software is available).

Bingo that was it, we had to typical Telstra tango with the mains switch when it froze during playback while recording another program - our unit gets grumpy if you ask it to multitask.
Sot hat would have initiated the update. Ok - not telstra fault..... this time.

Our update happened during the mid-morning with no reboot or anything until the process asked for a reboot. I think I was not watching anything too important, and certainly not recording, and I did have no sound at first after reboot. Still, I think it is better, so far. YMMV

Concur, the new colour scheme is absolutely awful, harsh on the eyes, reminds me of Windows "High Contrast" themes.

Do not want. Seriously feel that if it's not fixed, and fixed fast that I will demand to be released from contract and switch back to real sky even at the higher cost. It's just that bloody awful.

It's bad enough the Tbox runs terribly, now they've made it visually terrible as well. *DOH*

I'm the same.... gives me sore eyes at night. UI design should never use highly contrasting colours like white on red.

I am not that concerned about the new colour scheme but more concerned that all the problems with the T/Box are rectified. I must admit that we have not had to reboot as much lately, but that may just be coincidence. We are still getting the odd picture freeze and tear, but I guess we will have to live with that.

I prefer the new theme as the higher contrast makes it clearer for me. As a Vodafone customer I'm already used to the colours.

My T-Box has had no problems at all for three months. What a positive change from the trouble-filled first three months.

I have noticed that since I did the reboot on the 5th, to try to get rid of the banner lag, mainly, I am getting a lot of audio drop-outs and video pixellation :-( Hadn't had that problem since the last software update as far as I can recall.

Like the new font, hate the BRIGHT RED colour scheme. It hurts my eyes!!

It looks like a cross between the new MS Metro interface with big square buttons at the top, and something the kids would colour in if they only had a pack of 6 felt tips. I find the coulours are all a bit garrish, however, like others I'm more interested in the thing working.
Mine has crashed several times in the last few weeks - last night when I tried to watch a recording that I had already watched, the system just hung and had to be relieved of electricity.

BTW -
Folks, seeing a new T-Box issues continued thread was created on the Vodafone forum I will lock this one.

But Mauricio, we were only up to 112 pages! It may be worth moving the original thread into this current one to maintain the history in an easy to find location
