Hey

I have a SIP phone on Open VFX.  I have a dial tone, and the phone rings if you call it.  However, even if you answer the SIP phone, the person phoning continues to hear the ring tone.  Also when I dial out, there is no ringing tone, just silence.  I thought it might be a port forwarding issue so I have forwarded the relevant port to the SIP phone to no avail.
I have got the phone to work perfectly with my Australian and Hong Kong Voip numbers, it just won't work with WXC VFX in New Zealand.  The phone is an EP-636 - probably meaningless because I had a job lot made for me of 100 phones (I own a hotel) by an unspecified manufacturer.

And now I am stumped!

Anyone have any smart ideas?

Thanks very much (in anticipation...)

Sounds like a SIP ALG issue or misconfiguration.

You should also never enable port forwards for SIP unless you can explain technically why you need them. It's just an invite to be hacked.
