i noticed this on my phone the other day, when i was trying to login to find out what exactly was expired from my plan - shell_19 IIRC the message said

the fact that my phone automatically logs in when im on 3G is ever so handy, since i dont remember the password i set - and apparently i had my birthday wrong on the recovery! ill have to bite the bullet and talk to someone at some point.

my other gripe being, the new UI is far too heavy for what it is, taking the whole put ajax in everything to extremes.

although, upon trying it this morning, its going in perfectly fine! even the old ui comes back once you go into my account, loading nice and snappy once again!

I got an text about shell_19 expiring on my Smart19 account, but I've got no idea what "shell_19" is!  Did you ever find out?

There's a known glitch on our mobile site that doesn't let you switch to the full site. A fix should be going in to sort this within the next week or so. Sorry about that!

The Shell_19 error was a text that went our in error - it can be ignored. We haven't really had a great weekend with some of the errors we've had on the system. >.>

You have Separate mobile and 'full' sites?
You would think vodafone of all businesses would be designing for 'mobile first'.
A bit of RWD goes a long way.

To be fair, Telecom doesn't do it either, but then Vodafone is a primarily mobile business, so I would expect them to lead the way here, instead of lagging behind in the last decade of web design.

What is RWD? Google may know but isn't telling. What gave you the impression we don't optimise our site for mobiles? Having a different web layout for use on a desktop OS is fairly standard practice - for one, I doubt many people on mobiles care for the majority of banners and images. Most things people would generally need off our website are available through our app - which I like to think is well ahead of anything the competition has. :)

Responsive Web Design - where you have the same site for all devices, and adjust the layout depending on the shape of the device screen - but it's still the same site.

Having checked properly now I am back at my desk, you actually do use  RWD (which is great news - Telecom don't!),  so I wonder why you said you had a separate mobile site when you actually don't?

No, I said it had a different web layout. Apologies if my wording was misleading.

no worries.

what you actually said was:

"There's a known glitch on our mobile site that doesn't let you switch to the full site."

Which is saying that you have one 'full' site, and one other site for mobile, and you can switch between them.

anyway, misunderstanding cleared up.  Good to see VF arriving into the current decade of web design :P
