Trying to setup my HG659 and some problems/questions:

1. When I add a new WAN connection by click the "Internet -> New WAN Connection", it only give me the DSL option, no VDSL or Ethernet options (I was guessing if I use the WAN port for a fiber connection it should be Ethernet?), Is this right for HG659?

2. I was trying to setup some internal sub-netting on my LAN, HG659 LAN is 192.168.1.0/24, I have a Draytek router (192.168.1.2 and 192.168.2.1) behind the HG659 and using subnet 192.168.2.0/24. The Draytek can do routing correctly. The network is like this:

Internet-----HG659(192.168.1.1)-----------(192.168.1.2)Draytek(192.168.2.1)-----

So I setup a static routing rule in HG659 in "Internet -> Routing Rules -> Static Routing" as below:

Destination 192.168.2.0/24 gateway 192.168.1.2 (Did not specify source net/mask)

HG659 accepted the rule but the routing did not work. If I specify source net 0.0.0.0 source net mask 0.0.0.0 the HG659 will not accept it, said it is wrong.

So how do I setup the correct routing rule source net/mask in HG659?

I tried the above settings in an old modem/router and it worked. I only needed to set the destination network/mask and gateway in the old modem/router, no need to setup the source net/mask because I want to route any source net/mask if destination is 192.168.2.0/24 then just send it to Draytek 192.168.1.2 which will route the traffic to the correct destination on the 192.168.2.0 network.

Any help appreciated.
