When do we think we're ever to see decent prices for VF data.

The pricing for 1 gb and seems ok to me, a little higher than wired plans.  But gprs charges are out of this world.

I mean 3 mb for $11, I sneeze and use more than that, and this is on a kjam, which isn't that fast.  For that price we should be getting about 100 mb.

Can't you get the higher data plans on these devices?

You can, but the prices are just rude.
the 1 Gb works out to $0.06 per mb
the 3 mb works out to $3.60 per mb
the 200 mb works out to $0.19 per mb

If these were a little more consistent the pricing would be much better.

I do agree, they really need to come up with a better "low data" plan. Maybe $10 for 50MB. And of course much better casual rates.

I just posted about this over at the Telecom thread and can't agree more.

I see no reason why Vodafone can't offer a decent rate cap (even upwards of 50MB) for the base $10 per month data plan. From a business sence dropping the casual data rate from $10 per MB makes no sence (just like casual SMS rates stay at 20c) but offering 3MB for $10 is a joke compared to the higher plans. It just shows how mobile carriers really fail to understand the whole mobile data market.
