I have been unable to get into Vodafone's web site for well over 24 hours now. It's a total pain in the rear end as I can't check my data usage.

Despite popular belief (or certain internet helpdesks), you can never have a monopoly on outages.

Hi psychrn and alista,

I'm not aware of any issues at our end, (which isn't to say there aren't any). I understand there wasa Telstra Clear outage recently which was effectively preventing access to some websites.

Cheers,

Dan.

Thanks for the reply, Dan. My computer at work is connected to Citylink and I can't access the site from here, and it was inaccessible all weekend from my home computer which connects via Vodafone 3G Broadband. I will try again at home tonight but I'm not holding out much hope.

I haven't had any problems with any other web sites over the last few days.

Hey alista,

Are you getting any particular error?
Or is it just timing out?

When I try to access it, I immediately get 'Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Web Page'. My machine at work does exactly the same thing.

Out of interest I have just tried to ping vodafone.co.nz and that is timing out. I wonder if there are some out of date DNS records floating around?

Further on my original post re V Live.

I dont think there was a problem with V Live at all.
More to do with corrupted software on my Nokia N 95.
At the time the web browser could not open and the V Live link didnt go anywhere.

I Tried a factory reset and when that failed I reinstalled the OS and hey presto everything is back working asd it should be.

Are you still having trouble accessing Vodafone's web site, psychrn?

Vodafone Live! is fine for me, but I still can't access the web site. Interestingly, if I type the IP address 202.73.199.35 into my web browser it lets me in, so it definitely appears to be a DNS issue.

Wierd. I've tried it at work this afternoon and at home this evening with the same result. I assume it'll just come right in due course.
