Starting tomorrow 23/01/08, Xnet staff will handle your number porting and save you the long hold times and confusion surrounding the issue.
Actually, the problem has not gone away entirely. For the next couple weeks it is still a matter of Xnet ordering your customer link rather than proper porting, but at least you wont have to deal with it yourself.
You will only be charge the standard 'one off' number porting fee of $17.50 plus GST and that will appear on your WxC invoice.
I know that the first question will be; "what if I've already made the request through Telecom 123?"
We are sorry but if there is already a service order in the Telecom system, you dont want to mess with it. I am told that they should not take long to process.
On the issue of subscribers that have their line rental with another carrier.
Moving that type of customers did not get tested in the original provisioning trials. They are working on getting the systems capable of processing an order to change from 'clothed' service with one provider to 'naked' with another. The first trial will get processed this week and we are shooting for a mid Febuary launch.
The interest in Xnet Fusion has been incredible and the work going into it has been unbelievable. I know that in time, it will all end up smooth and easy but right now our sales and service folks fall asleep at night with visions of order forms and service dates dancing in their heads. As we all know, TCNZ are only officially accepting 50 orders across the industry per day at the moment. So please be patient and we will get you up and running as soon as possible.
