Does vodafone have a casual prepay plan with add-ons that can be purchased?

Not the Mates or Flex plans, they have a "re-occurring" cost each month. (minimum $11 / month)
Not the Pay & Go plan, as it looks like there are no add-ons for this plan.

I'm more after a plan where I can top up $20, use that causally, and on occasion purchase data add-ons when required.

I couldn't find anything on the Vodafone site.

One option is 2 degrees (e.g. casual prepay rates with $6/100Mb add-on), but interested in looking at Vodafone first.

Thanks

Those data deals are sometimes off peak only, and up to $3 for 7 days. Worst case you end up paying $12/4weeks & can't even use data during the day some weeks. Personnally the occassional free pack makes carryover on flex more useful, but I wouldn't plan to rely on Friday deals.

When I can justify buying I new phone I'd love to go 3g/4g dual, with sim1 pay & go and sim2 for data. Though I'd love to see plans change & no need for that.

Yes aware of fantastic friday's, but like mentioned above, not reliable for normal data purchases, and the Vodafone site does say these add-on data deals only run until 6 April 2017.

I guess my only option is 2 degrees casual prepay and an occasional data pack (like $10 for 300 Mb).

And I'm not sure skinny even allows the purchase of add-ons without a combo?

This for a very light user (not myself).

Skinny. You can buy weekly/monthly combo then cancel. It won't renew, but you can use what you paid for. There is a data only combo, $5 for 250mb for the week. Etc.

I have a T-stick/dongle style modem with a Spark SIM ... if casual or emergency usage is required it's $1 for 10MB per day.  OK for emails while on the move and not near wifi.

If more data is needed, easy to get another 100MB for $3 that lasts for 7 days (use money already in the prepay account by TXTing).

So if your modem uses a small amount of casual data, e.g. 100KB, are you instantly charged $1 and can then use up to 10MB that day?
Or is it part charged, like 10c or 30c / MB, up to the $1 cap per day for 10MB?

The $1 is charged 'instantly', so pays to keep eye on the 10MB cap.  If you don't invoke the data package deal, then anything over the 10MB is charged at a hefty 30c per MB.

Wow. The 2degrees 300MB is 1month expiry. Makes Vodafone offer look mean.
