I've had the same prepay number for around 10 years.  I'm looking at moving onto a contract with a data plan.  I was told yesterday by a vodafone employee that if I wait until mid May it will be possible to keep my prepay number.

Does anyone know anything about this or can confirm it is correct?

I am not sure about the dates, but yes Vodafone NZ is working on their processes to allow moving Prepay to accounts - and should be sometime in the mentioned timeframe, IIRC.

It is correct however I haven't heard a confirmed date yet other than the month of May - Maybe one of the VF guys can confirm this.

Ive being holding out for several years now, dont hold your breath that they come thru this time.

In hindsight I should have bitten the bullet early on and changed to a contract number range and just eaten the loss of cards etc.

Correct me if I am wrong, if your contract is 24 months and you're not out of that period yet, you'd have to pay some sort of fee?
