Just thought I'd open up a new thread more for tracking.

The My Vodafone app is incredibly buggy - I am using a OnePlus 5 and have cleared data on the app / uninstalled and reinstalled etc with no success.

Current bugs:
- Account information sometimes doesn't load or refresh (keeps saying outdated information).
- Bills don't load via the app or when they do all I get is a corrupted PDF file.
- Payment information doesn't load.
- Often get the dreaded infinite "spinning wheel of death".

In all it is practically in an unusable state. It is easier to login via the website than to battle the app. Furthermore, I didn't even get a bill sent via email so if I didn't check My Vodafone I wouldn't have seen it - not sure how many customers this will affect. Also not a great experience given I am a new customer.

@MikeHales I presume you're aware of these bugs from the previous thread but mind prodding somebody to take a look? Just have not heard of anything.

@michaelmurfy

Thanks for the nudge.

I'll double check but all those are being addressed.

For me the widget doesn't allow me to view the different balances. It shows the "Current balance" and "1 of 6", but if I tap the widget (the part with the white background) the border of the widget flashes but it stays on the current balance and "1 of 6", I can't view my minutes/texts/data balances directly on the widget.

@michaelmurfy - can you tell which version of app and which version of Android you're running.

Cheers

I can live without the app, but I am really concerned about the anecdotes around people not receiving their invoices by email. Receiving the email is what prompts me to pay it - if I do not receive the email then I would not notice that it is unpaid until I get to the end of the month and see a positive variance in my budget.

@MikeHales Just updated then to the latest version - still getting a corrupted PDF on the bill side of things however can (for the first time ever) view the latest bill summary and view my plan and add-ons.

Phone is running Android 7.1.1.

Pretty woeful on iOS too.

Hasn't even been updated to support higher res iOS devices, meaning the UI is at a lower res and super blurry.

Would be great to get some caching in there too, the data calls for account info seem to take forever.

I have the opposite problem of receiving invoices monthly for an account that's closed but in credit

There was no way to unsubscribe from them, and I couldn't be bothered organising for it to be refunded some how :|

@michaelmurfy

Happily new version addresses the corrupt files - you'll need to delete those from your phone and then open app and those files will all work sweet.

Sorry for the hassle.

Yep you're right - need to remove it from /sdcard/downloads and allow it to download the bill again. Working well now it seems.

Thanks very much!
