Hello,

I am a new subscriber to Fusion, but a long time customer of Xnet. My Fusion setup and port went extremely smoothly and happened far quicker than I had hoped. From signup to people being able to call me on my correct number was only a few days (and over a weekend). Excellent help and information throughout was provided by CoffeeBaron.

I do have a weird problem though, and this is due to my hardware setup, not xnet.
If I have been talking on the phone for a few minutes, when I hang up the phone, my Dlink Model/Router hangs, and I need to pull the power on it to force it to reboot. This does not happen if I just pick up the phone and then hang it up again, only when the phone has been used for a few minutes.

I know my setup is not ideal, I am hanging out for the WAG54GP2 replacement:

Dlink DSL504G Model Router 10.0.0.138
Belkin WirelessG Access Point 10.0.0.139
Linksys PAP2T 10.0.0.8

The PAP2T has a static IP, and gateway/DNS settings are correct.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Donald,

Firstly, was this originally an Xtra supplied D-Link? I've had some issues with these, and they can be a pain to put generic firmware on to. I suggest try a frimware upgrade if possible, else factory reset & reconfigure.

- Download newer firmware (if non Xtra supplied)
- Factory reset
- Update firmware (if non Xtra supplied)
- Configure
- try setting up PAP2T in the DMZ zone

If it is an Xtra supplied, you can sometimes upgrade the firmware by putting the AU firmware on first (factory reset, then firmware upgrade in "corrupt firmware mode"). But be aware, these are easily BRICKED!

I've got a spare 302 and a spare 502.  I might also soon have a spare RTA1320, if you are interested.

OK, I have put the PAP2T in the DMZ. Will report back with results!
