Friend just told me he's found one of the discontinued Vodafone TV boxes in the garage ... possibly left over from previous owners of the house.

I know that the Vodafone connection/service was terminated ages ago, but can the box still be used as a 'smart tv' box using his own wifi connection?  Or does the thing not work unless some sort of Voda registration is recognised when turned on?

Tks.

…. of the most disappointing kind. As much as I was one of those who maligned it when it was released, I now miss it dearly.
