Does anyone know when Vodafone intends to release this phone onto the market?
I've seen Parallel Imported advertising them for $899.

I have heard from a mate who is waiting on one from Vodafone that they intend to release it mid January. Not sure if that info is correct?.

I was also waiting for some time to buy one from Vodafone, i ended up buying one at an import store for $950 around a month ago.

I can tell you it is a great phone!, everything seems to work fine.

But dont buy the Voda version!

The VF vlive software is not allowing you to install any symbian application onto the phone and you cannot set MP3 to be your ringtone as well.
Buy an operator free version. You still can use the vlive features.

Sounds like the 6680 where you have to toggle a security setting to allow installation of software that isnt signed/certified

after seeing that N80 is essentially what N70 is with higher resolution and with opera new browser and support WMA/MP3/AAC for audio... i might just get N80 for my everyday 3G phone use, and may get a WM5 pda for pda usage (... sorry Imate JasJar... you're way out of my league -- or affordable range)

If i could, I'd rather get OQO 01+ as my "pda"... $2000 for jasjar is just ridiculous... :-S

Orginally hoped to have the N70 out before Xmas but there must have been a delay. You are looking mid jan for it... I asked our supplier today.

Oh... That thing that overheats and doesn't have a mobile phone in it? You will also have to carry a mobile phone for Bluetooth connections (at least the OQO has Bluetooth).

Nope. Played briefly with one in San Francisco and not impressed. Wonderful technology, but not usable size. You will not be typing long documents on Word on that keyboard.

The Jasjar on the other hand is a perfect PDA: ideal size to read emails, view web sites and keyboard usable enough to reply emails when needed - unlike T9-based smartphones (both Symbian and Windows Mobile).
