okay, i have decided to move to vodafone naked dsl so that i can have femtocell in my house. (currently on 2degrees pay monthly)

i am trying to do this online but do i really need to have mobile phone with vodafone service first?

To sign up to our fixed line and internet services consists of 5 easy steps and should only take 10 minutes to complete. You'll need:

  • Your account details or a bill from your current provider if you're transferring your services

  • Your Vodafone mobile phone if you're signing up to one of our naked broadband plans

  • Your New Zealand driver's licence, passport or another valid ID.

  • Your credit card details if you want to set up your account to be paid by credit card each month

  • Most computers are suitable for broadband, but if your computer is older than five years you may want to check your computer meets these minimum specifications.

If you're a Vodafone customer you get $30 a month discount. If you click the "Whats This" it will probably tell you the same.

Looks like it will go a lot cleaner and easier for you if you port your mobile to Vodafone first. Often a good idea to do things in stages. This won't slow down the process much and you should still be able to sort it all out within a day or two.

If you want to make use of the Femto cell, then you will need to be on Vodafone mobile anyway - 2degrees won't work

I know that john Smile

I am hoping that I can setup the broadband first, then move my mobile to vodafone once it is ready. is this not possible?

As per revious posts, it seems you first need to port your mobile, to then be eligible for the discount...

You don't need to do mobile first then the dsl although form a cost saving point of view this might be better.

Yes you should just be able to select the non-discount version.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.
