So a door to door salesman comes to my door.

Hits me with this great offer, 20gb internet, phone line, and sky for $132 a month. I was like sweet, and he said "But wait, theres more".

He then offers me mysky and a t box for nothing, as long as I sign up for 2 years. I say okay count me in. He also said I'll get my first 2 months free.

So he puts mine and my partners name down. Now my partner wants nothing to do with the internet/sky type bills she says they're my responsibility.

Anyways, a month passes, and I get a bill. I think hmm this isn't 2 months free. So I ring telstra, and they say I can't do anything about because my name isn't on the account Undecided, although my name was on the bill. So I had to get my parter to ring which she wasn't happy about, and put my name on the bill.

Then I ring my account manager a couple days later about the bill and I THINK he gets rid of it.

Next month, oh yay another bill. Ring telstra again "Sorry your name isn't on the account" Im like okaaaaaay this is ridiculous. I tell my partner, she gets angry rings them up and yells down the line to put my name on the account. They confirm with me that they do.

Next thing, i'm trying to access the online telstra account stuff on their site, says I need my account password which was never given to us. So I ring up and ask for it..HOLD ON, THEY SAY MY NAME ISN'T ON THE ACCOUNT. So I ring, my partner, she rings telstra angry again as usual. They then ring me back saying they will take her off the account and just have my name. Awesome I can sort it myself.

Then they give me a new account number and all this jazz, okay cool.

Now I get a new bill, (still hasn't even been 2 months), which is $159 (way over what he said it would be). So I ring them and they tell me that the promotion isn't carried over to this account, i'm like WHAT THE ****?! It conviniently brings over the 2 year contract but not my promotions, that they DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT?!

Run while you can, everybody.

Oh by the way, my account manager hasn't replied to any of my texts or picked up any of my calls.

I don't have anything constructive to say, other than wow, that's surprising even for TelstraClear. Good luck getting it sorted. Of course, you will now that you've made the issue public. Otherwise I suspect you'd be out of luck.

Hi Original George,
this doesn't sound ideal. Let's see if I can make things right with you.
Please email me your account number and best contact number and I'll investigate.
Thanks
Tim.

Well, you can take action and lay a formal complaint via mail, and if not resolved then go to http://tdr.org.nz.

They have a four step guide for disputes on that site.

Telstra also have a formal complaints process that is detailed at the link above.

You follow the formal complaint process. If nothing comes out then you go to TDR. You can only initiate a TDR process once the formal complaint is laid and nothing happens.

Go to the TDR web site for the four steps process, as I indicated before.
