Hi

I need a MicroSim for my wife’s forthcoming iPhone - I can’t for the life of me find where to get one from on the VF website.  If you buy the phone from them "it’s easy", but if you don’t (this one is via the insurance company as apparently iPhone’s don’t bounce) then I can’t see how to get one online.  Can someone point me in the right direction please.  We are On-Account (but not in contract) if that makes any difference.  I got one for my iPad online so I know they’re hiding there somewhere!

Cheers

I think you will need to go into a store. They should switch it for you there and then

Easiest if you still have your wife's old iPhone SIM would be to just cut it to MicroSIM size. Otherwise as above you need to go to a Vodafone store for a free MicroSIM.

If you have purchased your iPhone directly, either from Vodafone, Apple or from overseas you can visit one of our Vodafone store to obtain a MicroSIM. Existing On Account iPhone customers, or customers who have purchased the iPhone4 overseas to use On Account in New Zealand, can request a new MicroSIM free of charge.

Thanks for he info.  I have the old card but don’t really want to cut it.  Unfortunately we don’t really have a local VF store - it’s one of the branded stores that someone else runs.  I’ll try them as a last resort but will give 777 a ring when I get the chance.  I’d have thought you should be able to get them online though - I’m pretty sure the competition sell them.

Only 6 weeks ago i was told Vodafone no longer do free SIM swap for on-account customers. Free micro-sim will be supplied with iPhone or iPad purchased in NZ. Rest of the customers will have to pay $20 or ($30?) to get a sim swap.

Would be interested to know if you can get a free sim swap.
