neb: One such scale is the GCBS (something Conspiracy something Scale), but that's really more a paranoia scale than a conspiracy-theory scale.

It's the Generic Conspiracist Beliefs Scale. You can take it online, but as I said it's more a paranoia scale than a conspiracy theory scale. There's another, better one but I can't think of the name at the moment.

That will unfortunately make it worse for the conspiracy theorists, "Telcos urge govt to combat 5G scaremongering" means there really is a conspiracy, and it's between telcos and the government. It's OK for dealing with misinformation, but bad for dealing with a conspiracy theory.

I do think the anti-5G meeting on the shore is more misinformed people than conspiracy theorists though.

I have just looked at some of the "science" that people claim links RF exposure to tumors. I am a scientist (even working in medicine/physics/stats areas) so have some experience evaluating scientific reports.

One report people link to is https://www.niehs.nih.gov/ntp-temp/tr595_508.pdf

In the summary is this:

"For the GSM studies, these lesions included tumors of the prostate gland, pituitary gland, and pancreas in males and of the heart in females. For the CDMA studies, these equivocal lesions included tumors of the pituitary gland and liver in males and of the heart, brain, and adrenal gland of females."

This instantly raises red flags when you have different effects by sex and CDMA/GSM. Looking deeper they have so many conditions and comparisons that they have looked at, small sample sizes, and very primitive statistical methods. This makes it very likely many of the results are just random noise.

Perhaps spin up some ESP modules sending out 5G sounding SSIDs and leave one in the car etc so and then increse their paranoia.

I had one sending police survalance van that was left on a lot in the car. Few people spotted it.

Mind you half the street is technical people so probably all I'll get is a "ha ha, very funny".

I've just been playing with a spectrum analyser and found something quite horrific, a strong, continuous signal in the microwave range at the lower end of the L band that's absolutely everywhere. I think we need to hold another meeting to get the government to do something about this dangerous signal at 1,420,405,751.766 Hz, there is simply zero research on its effects on humans and we have no idea whether it will be dangerous or not. Whatever's emitting it needs to be shut down right now.
