Does anyone else think it's inappropriate for a university to be hosting a presenter who wants to advocate dubious pseudo science?

Well when universities are selective about who they let use the facilitates then another lot of people get all angry, look what happened with Massey uni.

Europe opposes a lot of technology because its not invented there. This seems an extension of their attempts to ruin the rest of the worlds use of technology. Bunch of luddites.

Used to be called "NIH" back in the 1990s when US and Japanese companies tried to sell wireless tech to Europe. The reason why CDMA cellular never got into the EU.

I've never heard that one before... what Europe definitely is into, especially central Europe, is "natural" stuff, homeopathy, Bach flower remedies, the whole range of quackery up and down the scale, alongside dangerous "natural" alternatives to proper medication (St.John's Wort vs. an SSRI). GP's in Germany will actually prescribe the stuff, and virtually all pharmacists are trained in it.

So it's very easy, and in fact pretty much expected, to agitate against this sort of thing if you're of the mentality that flowers in water will cure your stage 3 cancer.

It also means there'll be actual experts in the field there to challenge him. That could be entertaining :-).

The latest mailout from the Island Bay Residents' Association is promoting a presentation at Victoria University by Dariusz Leszczynski. It's starting to feel like this whole thing is starting to gain some traction amongst more mainstream people who are naive, but not traditionally engaged in conspiracy theories.

Not that any of this will change the minds of the anti-5G crowd since their position is not based on logic to begin with.

I need to invent a crystal which can magically absorb 5G energy when worn around the users neck. $$$
