Hello everyone, I'm in New Zealand with Working Holiday VISA. I have been using Rocketmobile since I came to New Zealand, I'm very happy with it but I'm planning to leave NZ on August. So, for some 2Factor Authentication and other things I may need to receive SMS while I'm abroad. So, I want a prepaid SIM with volte wifi calling support and doesn't get deactivated if I don't top-up ? Can you please give me recommendations, Thank you so much.

You have to top up every 360 days regardless of who.

2degrees and One NZ is the best option as VoWiFi is prioritized.

Spark don't allow VoWiFi when roaming.

As above 2degrees or OneNZ for Wi-Fi calling overseas I have found 2degrees Wi-Fi calling rock solid around the world and take note for Wi-Fi calling to work you have to have a compatible handset

You have to top-up once every year to keep a prepaid number active or it will deactivate

Thank you so much, I will just keep my rocket mobile number and transfer it to 2degrees, how long it will take, and for example If I top-up every 365 days do I need to active data or internet plan to receive sms or just having active number is enough ?

You just need to top up every 360 days(don't do 365), and it's $10 to keep the number active.

That is all you need to do.

I wouldn't even do 360 days - go with every 330 days, if your access is more important than a couple of dollars.

And for the love of $deity, set a reminder. Too many people posting "I am overseas and I lost my phone number."
