Honestly it not about who you use plenty of options out there to suit all needs, WxC is aimed at mass market PSTN replacement built around carrier grade equipment, others are more bring your own, why possibly because it's very easy to do the basics, We supply a configured device option as this takes the hassle away for the custys, we want this technology to succeed and replace the PSTN, to do that it needs to prove it is capable of doing just that, achieving that requires a model where configs just work leaving it for eveybody to configure there own is not a model that will ever replace the PSTN and will never offer a long term quality solution.
I'm technical not sales I worry about it all working correctly not about signing custys (Sorry Cecil (CEO) he will have words with me if he reads that) but what I want to see is people being aware of good deployment models, the technology is incredibly easy to stand up and make a phone call, password and sip server and away you go, making it robust, secure and interoped so it works correctly for our customers all the way out to the PSTN is a lot harder and should not be taken lightly, I'm afraid it takes take a skill set that you don't learn in 5 minutes unfortunately, you do need a back ground to make it all work together.
You have a different view of how this technology should be deployed, I don't agree but always happy to discuss, good luck to you in your efforts, just not 100% sure I would want you to sell me a SIP solution though with some of your theories, throwing more bandwidth at a problem is not a theory I subscribe to
