Hi All

I have freePBX and Asterisk setup on my Raspberry pi.
I'm running the normal Raspbian build so followed the following guide to setup:

I used the following versions since they're newer.
freepbx-2.11.0rc1
asterisk-11.4.0

I'm using my Galaxy S3 built-in SIP client "Internet calling". It's listed as "Primary Account. Receiving Calls"

I'm able to call outbound to another cellphone via the 2Talk account and the phone will ring and shows my 2talk number in the caller ID.
You can talk on wifi but when trying to answer with 3G the following error is shown in the log "Retransmission timeout reached on transmission"

When ever I try to call from my cellphone to my S3. The 2Talk voicemail kicks in straight away.

Any hints on what I need to configure or change to allow incoming calls?

If I dial *97 while on 3G I go to  the Asterisk voicemail...

I would suggest it is just simply the latency in the 3G network. Or maybe your 3G device is behind a firewall so it is juts pot luck whether the call connects or not.
Is it all fine when on a 'decent' wifi connection?

I haven't be able to call at all from an external line to my wifi connected S3.
Always goes to 2Talk Voicemail.

NAT issue. Does your router have a SIP ALG function? Turn it off.

Does the line show as registered in the 2Talk portal? And are you using sip.2talk.co.nz? Make sure your account has had 2Talk+ enabled too. It seems to be doing weird things with the old platform at the moment. I wish they would just turn it off.

Disabled SIP on my tomato Router. under "Tracking / NAT Helpers"

Number xxxx is currently ONLINE - Internet Address:xxxxx

Using sip.2talk.co.nz

I just signed up today so assume I have 2Talk+. Can't seen anything to enable in the preferences page.

Still calls go straight to voicemail.

I've forward port 5060 and 10001-20000 but this didn't change anything.

Have you created an inbound route in freepbx?

Inbound rule as below:

Edit:

in the trunk settings what should be in the section Incoming Settings?

Is it a copy of the stuff in outgoing?

this link isn't clear.

I'm totally confused by what you've posted but you'll clearly run into issues over 3G with a NAT'd APN depending on your timeout periods.

Ok so I've narrowed it down. Ignore the 3G stuff for now I think. (let's get it working when the S3 is on wifi).

If I set the Inbound rule destination to "Terminate Call -> Put caller on hold forever" I can call through and get played the hold Music = Success.

So I guess the problem is with the the extension transfer.

Am I missing something in how to setup an extension?

I notice the following appear every now and then in the logs....

Peer '6288' is now Lagged. (2246ms / 2000ms)
Peer '6288' is now Reachable. (981ms / 2000ms)

Peer 6288 is my S3 which is connected to the same network as the Raspberry Pi.

Not sure what I changed but seems to be all working now over wifi. 3G can wait for another day.

Pasting settings below for safe keeping...

Jump on to the asterisk debug and do a 'sip show peers'.

Check your extension has a current registration. It mostly points to the device not being registered. Do you have voicemail enabled on that extension? If it isnt registered it should just go to the mailbox.

Yeah now using the Asterisk voicemail instead of the 2Talk when my S3 isn't registered.

Now to figure out the 3G stuff - that can wait till the weekend I think.
