freitasm: Interesting. Using Outlook 2013 the hyperlinks with anchor tags (for example links to a specific reply on Geekzone) don't work anymore when going to Chrome. Works fine with Edge.

Can anyone reproduce this?

In addition to this I've noticed Outlook 2013 won't open a PDF attachment that invokes NitroPDF anymore. Nothing happens. I have to save the file and open from Explorer.

It seems Outlook got some stuff going on after the upgrade.

Will the Windows 10 have updated the recovery partition on my HP laptop (or anyone else's), is this something we have to find out how to do, or are we stuck with a recovery partition that contains an old Windows version?

It will either go away as Nathan suggested or you can use system clean up to get rid of all the install junk

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Here is a silly Win 10 question, in Edge do you prefer Dark theme or light theme/

On my Surface 3 I prefer the Dark theme but on my PC I prefer the light theme as it give a greater focus on the content and on the Surface which I use mainly in reduced evening light it seems to make it more comfortable on the eyes.

Sorry, you're confusing things. I am not talking about the downloaded install files (I have already cleaned up this using the Disk Cleanup tool).

I am talking about the Recovery Partition that some laptops and tablets have, which replace the old DVDs that used to come with a new machine.

coffeebaron: Once you've done the upgrade, is there a way to find your Windows 10 product key? E.G. if you wanted later to do a full offline reinstall, or your hardware changed so it couldn't match to your key stored in the cloud?

I used https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/   to grab my key from win10 install

Does anyone else have a tray loading desktop optical drive that won't stay open under Windows 10? Mine just goes straight back in again. Doesn't behave like that in other OSes or in BIOS. System is a clean install (from the ISO mounted in a Zalman ZM-VE300) after an upgrade.

I found that by skipping entering in the key on the full clean install (after I had previously done an win 10 upgrade), it automatcailly  fills it in when you go to the settings, and activates.

Yea you don't need the key at all.
I tested it on one of our laptops here.
Did the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Pro then grabbed a copy of the key with Produkey just in case.
Then I did a full fresh install, wiping the HDD in the process, and during the setup/installation it did prompt me to enter in a key but there is the option to Skip which I did.  It prompted again during the first start wizard after the installation but again I just skipped it.
Once I was in Windows 10 again checked the System properties and it was activated.  Checked with Produkey and it has the same key as before.

Anyone tried Windows 10 on Hyper-V yet?

I have got one up and running and everything is working fine except the Date/Time.
It is set to get the time automatically and the time zone is correct for NZ but it is showing the data/time ahead by 19 hours.
If I try set it manually it changes for a few seconds then jumps ahead 19 hours again.  That is even with the Automatically set time option turned off.

I tried changing the Internet Time server from the microsoft ones to nz.pool.ntp.org but made no difference.

The date/time is correct on the host OS (Server 2012 R2 Standard) with all updates installed.
