I have a touchscreen Windows 7 tablet, it has the Windows 10 reservation button and the compatibility report says all good to go including the touchscreen, very keen to see how successful this is, if it fails I'm expecting it to brick!

Apparently they were referred to as slates back then.....

if Windows 10 won't install, it rolls back to what you had

Dreal: Neither have I. But then I haven't done anything, it's just a fresh install of 8.1 home, with nothing added.

you need these 2 from WU at least

3035583 Update installs Get Windows 10 app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1
2976978 Compatibility update for Windows 8.1 and Windows 8

I'm using windows home with bing on my tablet. And it seems to be fully updated with no sign of anything like those updates. I'm guessing perhaps the options doesn't come up with this version of windows.

If so, how do I get windows 10? Or can't i?

Mine doesn't seem to get the right update. Maybe I need to reboot and re-check a few times...

Actually used the reservation fixed thingy - it said I had both the relevant updates. No dice yet though on it showing.

Yes Windows 8.1 Bing is elligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10

You could have a look here to enable the reservation prompt

or just wait until you can download it from windows.com

Apparently it's Microsoft that needs to update the Get Windows 10 program, Nvidia has already released drivers for Windows 10.

They have, but a lot of people on Guru3d.com were complaining that the 980ti is not in the .inf file. Oddly enough, the 970 wasn't either.

Grr.... PC died over weekend thanks to someone kicking it, been having major hassles. THink Ive found the fault, got Win 7 all installed again and..... no Win 10.  A geek waits....

I thought if I had already reserved it, I might get an email "hey its ready, click here if not seeing a popup"......

Do you have the reserved icon in the system tray? If so, check c drive for the folder $Windows.~BT That's where its downloading to.  Though my downloads on two machines have come to a stop.
I also had to install an update in Windows Update to get it as well..
