Hi guys,

I installed Win8 on my older Compaq CQ60 that has a GeForce 8200m video card.

Previously I had Vista installed and it would always auto-detect my Panasonic HTDV whenever I plugged the HDMI cable in, however Windows 8 doesn't want to know about it.

I have the latest correct NVidia driver that I got via the NVidia website. The NVidia control panel is listing the TV and acknowledging it, but I cannot get a display.

Does anybody have any suggestions? The laptop is pretty much my media centre and if I can't do that then I'll just have to get a refund and forget about Win8.

I know, I should have stuck with Vista - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Cheers guys!

Case closed. I've had Win8 deactivated and obtained a refund.
