Anyone else had this problem?

It happened on both my desktop computers. I fixed it by applying the registry edit I read about at:

A very simple fix for a major bug in this version.

I didn't need to change the save location for new apps to "New Apps saved to C:\" in settings/storage though...

Seems to be a big problem for a lot of people going by the size of the Redit thread and numerous Tech sites reporting it...

I haven't read/seen anything from Microsoft yet... I wonder how it got past their quality testing and all the 'Insider' participants?

Nathan?

It is not a critical update. Personally I would revert that registry change and also roll back (system and updates > recovery iirc) and wait until the various issues have been resolved before going forward.

I'm guessing there is more than one issue causing that. My guess is related to complex interaction with the system file protection features but that will not help anyone ; ).
