I got a feature update for Windows today, the April 2018 update as I delay things for stabilillty.

The "continue on PC feature" for my phone looked useful. The app to make that work is "Microsoft Launcher". I don't want to use their launcher, I'm happy with Nova.

Can I use "continue on PC" and other features if I don't use Microsoft Launcher as a launcher?

No but you will find their launcher is really good. I use it in all my devices now.
