Hey guys,

Im setting up a VPN to my WHS. I have it all setup and running smoothly except for one small glitch. I currently have to use my public IP address, this is a pain as it is a dynamic IP assigned by Telecom.  If I point the VPN to xxxxx.homeserver.com I get error 868 - DNS resolution failed. I also cannot ping my server....

Anyone got any ideas on what I need to do. tp get this up an running?

Cheers

I would look at Hamachi instead (https://secure.logmein.com/US/products/hamachi2/) and don't mess with any address, port forward, etc...

You may use a service like no-ip.com to associate the dynamic IP to a hostname. It uses a client agent so when the IP is changed the DNS data will be automatically updated
