All of a sudden, Safari has started reloading pages if you click back, instead of just returning to the page in a nice, smooth way. It's very irritating and I do not know why it is doing it - it's been going on for a week or so.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Is it on all websites? There's some stuff that cannot be cached, so the page would need to reload, but it will be different for each site.

Presumably an OS X device of some description.

Apparently some ad blockers can make this happen.

It's still doing it. Seems more intermittent now than it was.
