Heh always amazes me that people think they are showing off boarding a flight. It's about as pedestrian as catching a bus these days.

Maybe 20 years ago it was something to write home about.. now... ?

I know! A colleague sent a video on FB while he was waiting for his flight to take off today. I felt embarrassed for him, so all sorted :-)

Yes, it's beaten only by people such as one of my brothers, whose Facebook avatar is a picture of his infant son (now 5) and who's every post on FB is about his child.

The ego that must be required to believe everyone you know thinks the mundane and commonplace doings of your child are as fascinating and awesome as you do is just vast.

"Yay! (insert name of child here) read 10 words/walked 100 metres/played in the snow/sneezed a lot etc!"

I just wonder what his son will think when he grows up and all this information has been posted about him and his childhood with no consent and can never be removed...!

a few friends like to post all their recent achievements, every few days, always ends such posts with "so humbled"

I ultimately killed of my FB account because while I did not use it too much, the never ending stream of daily updates on my friends babies just got very very boring.

I get your child is important to you but they are not as important to anyone else and when 5 women are doing it at the same time..

The perfect year to be born (same as me) , Growing up to the 70, 80's music great mullets and stubbie shorts. Driving around in a mk 1 escort that had a holly carb we fitted to it but every time you turned the lights on the motor would cut out, Who needed lights back then though haha. Such great memory's growing up during that time and the emerging tech. Spent $2.5k on having one of the first car phones installed ahahahaha yeah those were the days.

I deleted my Facebook account because I’ve found out that anything you put on there can be held against you legally it’s a form of media. I got in trouble for a couple of posts I put on there and got accused of slander and ultimately told to delete the post. Though sometimes I wish I still had it. i have a ex friend we both did a course together anyway he “borrowed “my $113 Razer Gaming Headset and didn’t give it back.. if I still had Facebook I wold make a post telling all his friends not to let him borrow anything as he’s borrowed my headset and not given it back .. basically just name and shame him.
