Rikkitic:

I have become a fan of Nordic TV and have been looking for productions as good as The Bridge, though I haven't found any so far. I just watched the first series of Jordskott but I won't be watching any more. It wasn't completely horrible, but it wasn't that good, either. The plot wandered all over the place, the actions often didn't seem to make much sense, character motivation was arbitrary and haphazard, and the mythological elements were confusing, misplaced and largely pointless, though they might make more sense to a Swedish audience. It was good enough to keep me watching, but left me disappointed in the end.

I wonder if perhaps you may enjoy a series called Midnight Sun, if you haven't seen it already.

Subtitled, as a French policewoman is sent to investigate a murder inside the Artic Circle.

You'll have to download it I think, but I found it very compelling all the way until the final twisting finish!

Or even Fortitude, also based up in the Arctic Circle but in English. I enjoyed the first season but gave up on the second pretty quickly (which seems to be a pattern for me at the moment).

Yes, I've really enjoyed Fortitude. Just finished the third season, which was very short but took care of most things.

Started watching Netflix Titans last night - 4 episodes - will watch the final 4 tonight.

Thoroughly enjoying it 8/10. Has some good plots and twists in it and dark humor.

Amazon today announced that Prime Video will be the exclusive subscription streaming home of Seasons 1 – 3 of The Expanse in over 200 countries and territories starting February 8.

Based on novels by James S. A. Corey, The Expanse is a critically-acclaimed, award-winning political science fiction series set hundreds of years in the future. Humans have colonized the solar system with The United Nations controlling Earth and an independent military power inhabiting Mars. Desperate for air and water, the series begins with Earth and Mars on the verge of war over the resources found in the Asteroid Belt. With few options for survival, allies struggle to fight over the future of humanity.

Prime Video is the new home to the highly anticipated Season 4 of The Expanse, a Prime Original series, which will launch later this year. Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon, made the announcement in May 2018 at the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles where the cast and showrunner were in attendance.

Watched the first 2 seasons on Amazon Prime really enjoyed it. After I cancelled my yearly sub s03 came out and was disappointed to find it was not showing on prime video NZ.

Good reason to sign up now and take advantage of the $2.99usd monthly sub for 6 months

Watched the first 2 seasons on Lightbox - Loved it. More reason for me to get Apple TV.

Just hope it is not coming out on one of Prime's subscription channels!!

I agree all over the place, the plot is a little loose, but that might be a good thing as season 1 was  "The Punisher", much like Ryan Phillipe in the "Shooter" but I feel Shooter is a bit tighter.

I dont think though Frank is a wimp, hes a bad ass, who goes out single handed at night to take out 13 trained assasins when the cops are all shuddering in fear? :-)

I think what it is, Frank is trying to juggle Russo and this girls Russian gangster/preacher.

Im only half way through but Id give it 8/10 personally.

Just on a quiet note, the chick from the bar has been in a shed load of good movies, how does netflix afford these people in their productions?

Ahston Kutcher in the ranch for example, that guy doesnt need to work, his investments, hes way more loaded than any normal actor.

About to watch ST Discovery after this. I love when they drop good shows the whole season so I can binge.

My fav shows on Netflix

1. Shooter
2. Luther, Idris Elba has fast become the UK's best actor imo and the rumours about him being the next Bond should happen, so what if hes Black, I hate people who say that online.
3. The Ranch, ok its a bit lame but its easy to watch and the old father is the funniest in the show, I love it when his mustache hides a slide smirk after dropping a bomb line.

On side note shows that arent up to date, Vikings 9/10, Outlander 9.5/10 are awesome. I had Amazon prime trial but they have stopped them and Im 3 episodes short of the Outlander

Best finishes series Hell on Wheels 9/10, I really wish they hadnt rushed the ending and had another season.

I was into Frontier with Jason Mamoa (Aquaman), but the last series I cant watch.

Lots more Ive just watched haha, but that will do as my opinions for now.

I will have to watch this, it got 7.3 overall from all net ratings so must be 8/10 in reality. I remember when Concorde blue that tire and it was all over. I swore when I was older and working I would fly on Concorde. It was a super shock at the time that the one crash stopped the business. Of course at the time I didnt know the ins and outs. What 20 years prior to the internet.

Thank you, next to watch, its on US netflix I presume as I cant see it on NZ.

Thanks heaps Bro.

Maybe part of saying what we watched should be where we watched it on.

For example, Outlander S5 is on STARZ,  I watched the first 7 episodes via a Prime and Starz trial. (but I think amazon has stopped doing Prime trials)

Concorde 8/10. Im a bit biased as it was my gen that built it and I felt grief when they stopped, it was a bit like Oasis the band lol. I love Ted Talbots cheeky comment on the US not being capable of designing one.

Rule Britania, Britania all the way. The masters of the ocean, became the greatest empire in the world, creating colonies like the US. Which I found a bit rich in WW2 (Ive watched and read over 1000 hours of WW2 history). The US lend lease wasnt lend lease at all, they demanded much of the British  Colonies, The blue box which had the A-Bomb desigh, Sonar and much much more science inside, all its Bullion, and a lot more. If the US hadnt joined the War they would definitely be living the lives of "The Man in The High Tower" right now. So they stole germanies science as well and have claimed to have created all this science. The space race etc. Steve Jobs is a shining example of the US lol, ie he created Mp3 players and mac vs Mr PC is so much better, when in fact Bill Gates bailed them out twice (so he could sell MS products quit largely).

Still watching

"The man in the High Tower". 7/10. I wanted to see Hitler and more oppression. I dont think Japan would have survived as after Russia, Germany would have gone Britain, US, Japan, China etc. As Japan was attacking one side Hitler would have pretend to not break their pact. Much like the non aggression pact they had with the prior USSR. Quite amazing if Hitler had listened to people and waited 3 years before moving on Poland they truely would have been unstoppable. But because Britain and France were ignoring the plight of the people on verges of Poland due to the Treaty of Versailles, (which was a joke considering Germany had the war by the balls), it left many parts of Germany in other countries. The rest is history, but I do have a documentary I will dig up and post on who really started WW2 and why.

In the mean time WWII The Warlords, 8.5/10 (I think is on youtube). A great insight into the thinking of the 4 big players, literally via their diaries etc. It doesn't totally correct the post war propaganda by the US, Britain on what really happened which is in Text Books on library shelves. Like the X files, the truth is out there and a lot easier to find out if you are into war history.
