I'm a member on ChoiceCheapies as well as here, i've been posting purchases / prices for a few days now over there but what I picked up on Friday was:

- GoPro Hero3 white $99 (Brand new)
- 2 x LG Optimus L9 $41 each (Brand new) - used $10 mates rates discount on this so got the down to $36 each.
- Sony Xperia Z Spark model $84 (Brand new)
- Kindle Wifi+3G Paperwhite $89 (Brand new) DSE code: TA7008
- Kindle Touch Wifi+3G $29 (Refurb) DSE code: A3515
- Kindle Fire HD7 $49 (Brand new) DSE code: TA7026
- Samsung GT-E3309 $3 (Brand new)

They can use the DSE codes I provided to look up stock directly for that model on their computer system.

Finch: People in Wellington.

In general, which Wgtn store has the most stock? Heading out tomorrow morning, dont want to go into the store to see half the shelves empty, when another store could of been fuller.

If you want a general answer it is Queensgate - it's the biggest store in Wellington region and the staff out there were saying on Thursday they had a fair bit of back room stock in phones and TV's. I don't know how true that is as of Saturday morning though!

Thanks mate.

I think tomorrow I will just do Manners + Featherston and Sunday I might go to Queensgate. Might be better to do it the other way around, but two stores is more of a lure for me. Plus who knows, these two stores might have more stock out the back, I doubt it though.

Going to be up at 6:30, ready for the 9AM opening :)

dafman: Rogered.

https://foragerfunds.com/bristlemouth/dick-smith-is-the-greatest-private-equity-heist-of-all-time/

... or possibly Dicked?

As I said earlier, Private Equity can be a grubby business. Very interesting story but it could be that Anchorage have not actually done anything wrong - legally that is. Morally probably very dodgy but maybe not illegal - just taken all the hapless float investors for a ride.

Think Feltex.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

From what i've read / heard all DSE stores. But the ones in the cities have more stock of the higher value items such as Apple (which some stores don't stock), mobiles, TV's etc. Just remember as far as we know at the moment it's not EVERYTHING on sale, it's just clearance items and older stock - some of which is display or open box returns etc.

Some stores may only have 1 or 2 of an item or none at all so it's YMMV. The thing about this sale is how much stuff they have decided to put on 'clearance' and the prices which they have dropped it to.

If anything the ones in smaller towns might still have some great deals because people may not have clicked onto the sale yet.

Sweet, I'm in Alexandra so will be down there at 10 this morning to see what is for sale. Keen for a kindle paperwhite.

Just went to Albany. No particular sale. Just a few cheap cables.

Maybe the fire sale is over?

So went in this morning (albany) and nothing new on sale, most of it went thursday and friday.

Some ok deals on older laptops.
They did open an hour early however (8am).  I got there at 8.30 and by 9am there were a few people there.

Well that was disappointing.

Went to Wgtn Featherston St + Manners.

Featherston didn't have too many new discounts, nothing worthwhile anyway. I noticed some prices even went up!

I asked to see the Manners discount list, got told they don't have one......

Shelves very empty. I guess its too be expected, its not like there was going to be a $9 Ipad Mini left today :P

Was hoping to Grab Microsoft Office 2013 for $20 and potentially a Asus T100 Tablet for $99.

Oh well.

Score!!!  Which store?

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
