I think they all did... probably precautionary as frail and exhausted has risks - would be a shame to fall and smack your head on a pointy rock after all that.

Operations suspended for today. Not sure why. Divers are being rested and replaced by others. But despite heavy rain, water level in the caves is stable. The next trip will get 4 out and the coach next trip. I'd have thought get 5 out today while there is a window open

I have a really bad feeling if they leave the coach in by himself overnight. I hope I am wrong.

Logistically I am thinking it's challenging to get more than 4 people out at a time using the system they are which I presume takes a lot of space and resources. The operations last night were considerably faster (half) than the prior day, so I don't think it's a time thing.

You're probably right. Getting out seems ok. They go in single file, diver, boy's tank then the boy in the awkward parts, by tether. All you need to get the last 5 out is one more. But maybe limited by the tanks they have stored along the way. If there was a problem, maybe no tanks left for the 5th

I think logically, if they could get more kids out at a time, then they would have. Every day they are in there, someone could die.

I guess we will know this time tomorrow.

I am not like some people, even if this coach made a mistake and is responsible, his actions since in keeping these kids alive, calm etc, balances out that mistake.

Whilst I am sure the death of the rescue diver will weigh heavily on him, I don't think he could/should be held responsible. The diver was a trained adult, and it was either human error or equipment failure that cost him his life.

BBC news is saying that the current four have all been rescued and are OK but cold. RNZ pointed out that one boy was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher, implying that the others walked on their own. The one may have just been weak and exhausted, not necessarily ill or injured. BBC says rescue efforts have now been suspended again until tomorrow, presumably while equipment is refreshed again.
