The wing nuts in Palmy cnr Church/Princess has a sign "Free the Whistle Blower"
gzt: On topic..
NZHerald: As Young was taken back to the cells after his first appearance, he shouted “freedom” to the public gallery.
anti-vaccination activist Billy Te Kahika was in court supporting Young, while Counterspin Media’s Kelvyn Alp remained outside.
All the usual suspects then.
Zigg:
That's the topic set for Reality checked at the door radio for the rest of the year then!
Corrected that for you.
These people have infiltrated LinkedIn. This person drops two links there that aren't even supporting her claims.
One explicitly says "This has led to speculation on some websites that the vaccine would be distributed by aerial spraying. This speculation is false. There was never any proposal to deliver the vaccine by spray. The vaccine is intended for delivery to individuals in a drink as part of a clinical trial and only with their consent."
The comments are out of this world, completely crazy.

Depressing to see this drivel on a business social page like Linkedin. I tried reporting something to them along the same lines once, they did exactly 0 about it. It's like they don't care (ditto Facebook).
Makes me wonder what the point of reporting systems are if this nonsense isn't acted on and removed.
tweake:
the methods and tactics used by a lot of grennie groups and conspiracy groups is exactly the same. because those people are susceptible to those tactics, they get exploited by conspiracy groups as well. to make matters worse is sometimes greenie groups messages are in fact conspiracy theory's. so they have members believing in nonsense well before the conspiracy groups turn up.
Where your post has gone awry, is that you are comparing Greenie groups to conspiracy idiots. You may have heard of climate change, unsure. Conservation, unsure if you've heard of that either. Very much different to conspiracy people/groups that networkn explained very well

The irony is the post you quote from tweake reads like a conspiracy post.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

i said "methods and tactics".
much like the old "sales people, politicians and cult leaders use the same ......"
fooling idiots to do your bidding isn't limited to conspiracy groups, its pretty common across society.

I suppose the plus side of that is that their comments make it clear to potential employers that they are unhireable nutjobs. Helps with the filtering out. Maybe job applications should have a tickbox for "Are you a conspiracy theorist/anti-vax crackpot?"
Journeyman:
"Are you a conspiracy theorist/anti-vax crackpot?"
Don't be crazy, my cat told me to say that to everyone.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

another one
If he has left the country , his visa should be cancelled, he is an unfit person to live in NZ.
Conspiracy theorist's arrest gets turned into...more conspiracy theories 🙄

I stumbled across a Tiktok account promoting that guy as a hero. Amongst all the usual conspiracy nonsense, one defence of his actions was "The data has been anonymized so what's the problem?" 🤦♂️🙄
I don't know what you do about people like this. Some of them are stupid, and that can't be fixed. Some of them have psychological problems and will never agree to therapy. Best we can do I suppose is come down heavy on them when they break the law and the rest of the time, shun them from society. I know we try to be fair to people these days, but really - sometimes people deserve to be ridiculed mercilessly.
