dman: I am trying to work out if a lens as arrived properly at YouShop, according to UPS it arrived on the 12th of December. (a Friday)
But when I look at my parcels in the warehouse, it isn't there yet! However there is an item which YouShop says arrived on the 14th (a Sunday), might this be it? Is it normal for there to be such a delay between the time UPS records and the time YouShop records?

Yours was quick, my last one was seven days after UPS delivered it before it showed on my YouShop account.

Linuxluver: Update: Two of my three packages have been delivered. They arrived in reverse order. The last thing I ordered arrived first. The second thing I ordered arrived second...and the first thing I ordered arrived in NZ last and was then held in Customs. I sent Customs an email after getting the "entry number" from NZ Post by phone. I received an email reply from Customs within 30 minutes outlining the charges and how to pay. I paid immediately. Hopefully I'll get my parcel in a day or two.

I also went to the Youshop site and asked if they would consider pre-payment of the GST and Customs / Bio charges. This could be handled as a contingent 'deposit'...and if it wasn't required, either held as a credit for future shipping costs or refunded.   This would likely involve a user of the service authorising them to act as our agent for Customs purposes - indemnified by the user from any liability, legal or civil, related to the contents of the parcel.

This way they could just expedite the Customs process for us - saving everyone time - and perhaps even charge a convenience fee for it. Another revenue stream.

I would welcome this, I spent three days trying to get an entry number out of NZ Post to no avail.

First I got given a notice number, then it took two days trying to get hold of the team that provide the entry number and when someone finally answered the phone Customs hadn't got round to that cage yet.

Wrong time of year to try get things but an expedited option would be nice.

Package was delivered by FEDEX Sat 20th Dec. Haven't received a notification yet and hoping that this is just because it is backlogged and that it hasn't been delivered tot he wrong address as the update on the website warns of.

It was signed for by BBEASON - Anyone else had their package signed by this person and was at the correct place?

It's a multiple use code, so everybody can use it until the expiry date.

You'll probably get it after New Years if you still haven't got it yet at the latest..

It arrived yesterday but is on 'processed' status. Never seen a parcel stay on that. Must be delaying delivery for whatever reason
